Forehead Lift Using Endoscopic Surgery
Endoscopic forehead lift has been of interest for the last ten years and means the removal of wrinkles on the forehead and above all the lifting of the eyebrows. Temporal lifting laterally is usually part of the forehead lift and thereby means a suspension, tightening and rejuvenation of the entire eyelid area. Sometimes we combine the forehead lift with a blepharoplasty. Today a temporal lift combined with Botox treatment of the glabella area between the eyebrows is a good alternative to a complete forehead lift. The lower eyelids can be reconstructed at the same time by using our special technique which removes the tear trough deformities. The fat pads in the lower eyelids are used to create a smooth transition between the lower eyelids and the cheeks (the malar area). This type of surgery is indicated in elderly people, but frequently also in younger patients between the age of 20-30 years. This means a real rejuvenation of the orbital area. We have a special technique. See the Photo Gallery on eyelids. Sometimes the surface of the skin on the forehead and on the eyelids contains superficial wrinkles and folds. Treatment with fractionated laser sometimes gives the optimal result.
Forehead lifts, temporal lifts and eyelid surgery are performed at the Institute of Plastic Surgery, in our new four-storey clinic in the Western Harbour in Malmö, just beside the Turning Torso. The clinic has four operating theatres and one top modern post-operative ward for day and, when needed, overnight surveillance. In all, we have twelve wake-up rooms.
