Gynaecological Intimate Surgery
We perform gynaecological surgery at our modern private hospital in Malmö, Sweden. The problem can be of functional or aesthetic importance.
Depending on the type of surgery, the operation will be performed under local, intra-venous or general anaesthesia. An anaestheologist doctor will participate in all larger operations. Intra-venous sedation is appropriate for example in labia surgery. The procedure is then assisted by a special anaesthetist nurse. In most cases, this is day-surgery and the patient can go home after four hours. We have a convenient wake-up ward, attended by an anaesthetist nurse. After some hours you will be served coffee or tea and sandwiches.
You are not allowed to eat or drink for six hours before coming for surgery. The use of analgesics, such as aspirin, is also prohibited for ten days immediately prior to surgery. Paracetamol (Tylenole) does not affect bleeding and is therefore permitted until the day of surgery. All these instructions will be given to you by our secretaries and nurses prior to the operation or by your doctor. The doctor who carried out the examination will also perform the surgery.
We perform the following:
labia minora – reduction and / or correction of symmetry
rebuilding of labia majora with autologous fat in the elderly
pubic bulge (venus mountain) liposuction
